Pierre Brun
Lawyer

Pierre has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1989. A graduate from the faculty of law of Université Laval in 1987, he also has a Master of laws (LL.M.) with a focus on the Charters and environmental law from the Université de Montréal.

Partner at the firm, Pierre practices exclusively in union labour law and specializes in cases involving human rights and freedoms. He has appeared a number of times before the Court of Appeal of Quebec and the Supreme Court of Canada. Frequently invited as a speaker, he has also been a co-author of the Alter Ego on the Charters, a work of reference published by Wilson & Lafleur, for more than 20 years

Pierre was also a member of the founding board of directors of Pro Bono and has been an active member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers (CALL) for a number of years. He also co-founded Avocats sans frontières Canada (ASFC) in 2002 and participated in the mission to Nigeria from 2003 to 2008 and represented Ms. Lawal who had been sentenced to death by stoning. He is still a member of the board of directors and executive committee of ASFC.
